Groove Cruise Miami 2018 embarks in a week and the hype cannot be contained for fans going on this year. From the raving antics of legends like Dada Life to the trap-style of newer talent like Bonnie X Clyde, the ship will set sail with one of its most sonically diverse lineups in the festival’s history. To help hold Groove Cruisers over for at least one more week, Markus Schulz has just released a new mix teasing what fans can expect to hear from him during their four-day getaway.
The mix is an incredible throw-down of what makes trance one of EDM’s strongest sub-genres. The mix kicks off with songs like the Purple Haze track “Kill Kitten” and “Stay With Me” by Pryda. Halfway through the mix, 2017 heavy-hitter “Never Forget” by Nifra makes an appearance from Schulz’s label Coldharbour Recordings as well as the 1997 throwback “Titty Twister” from Viper 2. The mix closes with in almost cinematic fashion with “The Spirit of the Warrior,” a track from Markus Schulz’s Dakota alias.
The trance legend is no stranger to Groove Cruise. He was a headliner for last year where fans jammed out to his two-hour, power set through the breezy, Caribbean evening and offered fans an exclusive preview hear music under his Dakota moniker which included many cuts that landed under that alias’s album The Nine Skies which just released a little over a month ago.
