Ever since his debut on the label in 2012, Rogue has been one of Monstercat‘s most beloved artists.
This love is well-deserved; the Englishman has continually proven himself to be one of the greats, both in his genre-defying production abilities and his talents as a vocalist.
Of all the voices to grace Monstercat over the years, Rogue’s rings as one of the sweetest. Since he has – more or less – transitioned into trap music full-time, his vocals have become a bit of a rarity in recent years. In fact, the last time Rogue’s voice featured in a song was with his “Emoji” remix, which released just under two years ago. 
Needless to say, whenever Rogue does sing in a track, it’s a huge treat. Fortunately for us, his first release of 2018 gives us that and more.
Out today on Monstercat’s new “Instinct” imprint, “Fortress” provides a fresh R&B twist to Rogue’s always-lovable vocals, blending them in seamlessly. As if this wasn’t enough, the track’s drop is absolutely bonkers, contrasting Rogues heavy trap basslines and percussion with more lighthearted chording and vocal chops. Simply said, it’s just really good. Welcome back, Rogue!
