City of Miami police officer Adrian Santos has been arrested after allegedly being caught with cocaine inside E11even nightclub.
The officer was off duty when he was spotted with a baggie containing “a white powdery substance,” according to officials. Then, he was then seen “inhaling some of the powder.” Apparently the nightclub’s surveillance video backs up the claims as well.
Santos surrendered to his own force and has been relieved of his duties pending termination — a termination he plans to appeal after being with the City of Miami police department for two and a half years. 
State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement:
“Every police officer who has taken an oath to enforce the law, also has a duty to respect and follow the law. There are no exceptions. Today’s charges come after a vigorous criminal investigation undertaken by the Miami Police Department and the State Attorney’s Office aimed at ensuring the integrity of our law enforcement community.”
