LUUDE Drops Entirely Unexpected Flip Of Youth Group’s “Forever Young” Cover [PREMIERE]

Alphaville struck gold with “Forever Young” in 1984, as did Youth Group when they covered the song for The O.C. in 2005. Now, 13 years later, Australian producer LUUDE, one of our Artists To Watch in 2018 (not in small part due to his massive RL Grime flip with Enschway that was played out at EDC Las Vegas), has come out with this crazy inventive flip of the classic song that brings it even further into the 21st century.

Starting off with the original vocals and a simple bassline and guitar rhythm, the track quickly picks up at the drop with a more electronic influence. As that last kick hits before the drop, you get that recognizable feeling of, “Oh, this is gonna be good.”

What you get is a sound that is wholly unique and completely different from anything that I can readily bring to mind in modern dance music. Whether it’s the key or the specific composition of sounds, Luude has managed to find a sound that is entirely his own. Coupled with Youth Group’s innocent and nostalgic vocals, the flip is sure to become a hit.

Check it out below!
