After a solid six year run, Summer Set music festival has announced it won’t be returning in 2018.
The news comes as a surprise for many attendees that have made the event in Somerset, Wisconsin part of their festival routine. Big names like Skrillex, Bassnectar, Zedd, GRiZ, Pretty Lights, deadmau5 and Zeds Dead have come through to headline over the years.
In a short and bittersweet post, Summer Set reveals its plans to take a step back and reflect:
“Happy New Year Summer Set fam. The festival have been an amazing journey for the past six years, and we have cherished the opportunity to build and grow with you, creating memories that will last forever. We are taking time to reflect on the vision and direction of the festival, and therefore will not be hosting Summer Set in 2018. Stay true to your musical passions. #respect”
This doesn’t sound like goodbye — hopefully this means Summer Set will make a comeback fully recharged and better than ever!
