Now that we’re into the first few days of 2018 it’s time for us here at Your EDM to look back at one of the biggest years in dance music to date. Whether it was new projects coming from established stars, new superstars and emerging stars coming to light, or a familiar return from some of EDM’s beloved faces, 2017 had it all.
New ground was broken with artists like Kygo, The Chainsmokers and Zedd reaching new heights on radio. Martin Garrix and Marshmello crossed firmly over into the world of pop. While ODESZA established themselves as an electronic force to be reckoned with their sophomore album A Moment Apart. Calvin Harris also put out his first full length album in three years while Avicii made an emotional music return with new EP AVĪCI (01) while Porter Robinson made an equally a long-awaited return to original music with his new side project Virtual Self.
Finally, we want to give special recognition to Kygo who had an incredibly prolific year. Not only did he put out a full-length album and an EP but he also kicked off the year with two huge collaborations with Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding alike.
Of course, we could sit here and tell you all about it but why not lesson for yourself? Without further ado: here are Your EDM’s Top 100 songs of the year!
