Ethan Kath (real name Claudio Palmieri) of Crystal Castles is formally under investigation by the Toronto PD for sex crimes, The Daily Beast reports. Alice Glass, ex-member of Crystal Castles, was the first to write a public blog post accusing Kath of years of physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and rape back in October. Kath filed a defamation lawsuit against Glass a week later.
Because of the active status of the case, the nature of the crimes could not be disclosed. However, it appears that several women have come forward with accusations of some nature.
One women in the investigation who chose to remain anonymous alleges Kath “initiated a sexual relationship” with her at age 16. “I want this guy’s insane horrible mistreatment of underage girls to be out in the open for everyone to know and to protect themselves,” she told Daily Beast. 
If these allegations withstand scrutiny, it could mean serious jail time for Kath.
