After playing the last four years, Martin Garrix has confirmed that he will not be on the Ultra Music Festival lineup for 2018.
The 21-year-old DJ and #1 DJ in the world has done nothing but work his way up in dance music, fashion, and culture over the course of his brisk career. Each year at Ultra, he’s moved up and up, until he headlined the festival in 2016.
Taking a year off is probably good for the DJ, as he’d either have to headline once again, or take second-slot to another DJ once again, and neither would be particularly good for his brand or Ultra’s.
Still, it’s rather unfortunate that for the festival’s 20th anniversary, one of the biggest DJs they’ve ever booked won’t be in attendance.
nope I’m not

It’s meant to be sarcasm, he wasn’t literally saying he’s not going to be there. It was a troll tweet.
He really will NOT be there tonight, i looked at his shows on his website and as well as the show hes playing at today, hes playing the the Bloom Festival tonight in Texas. its even on their artist lineup
