Did Axel Boy copy Jauz?
It’s a question being asked on r/EDM — and with the similarities between “Claim to Be” by Jauz and the “Are You Serious” (Axel Boy Remix), it’s almost impossible to ignore.
“Claim to Be” and “Are You Serious” (Axel Boy Remix) start out entirely different. However, about a minute into each track the similarities can be heard loud and clear. The release from Jauz came over 2 months before the latter.
We always try to give producers the benefit of the doubt when it comes to cases like this. While it seems almost intentional, there could be a reasonable explanation — or it could even be a subconscious thing.
