Confirming the suspicions of most fans and contemporaries, Lil Peep’s cause of death has been shown to be attributed to an overdose on fentanyl and Xanax, according to the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner.
Lil Peep was found unconscious on his tour bus in Tuscon and pronounced dead shortly thereafter on November 15 – he was 21. Lil Peep regularly posted about taking Xanax and made numerous references to the drug in his music, as well as his battle with depression.
The medical examiner’s office has certified the “manner of death” as “accidental.”
