Snap Inc Dominates Apple’s Most Downloaded Apps of 2017

Snap Inc. hasn’t had a lot of reasons to celebrate over the last year. Their IPO which started out strongly has since tanked while Instagram continues to pilfer all of their new features. That said, this news should come as a nice surprise to the company’s executives.

Last year, Snapchat was the most downloaded free app on the Apple Store. This year it’s dropped down to #2, but that’s only because sister app Bitmoji came out of nowhere to become the most downloaded app of the year. Rounding out the top five includes apps owned by fellow tech giants Google (YouTube) and Facebook (Messenger and Instagram).
