Virtual Self, the new side project of Porter Robinson, will curate its first live event this Friday in Brooklyn. It was never clear what kind of future this project would have, if it would go beyond a single EP or a single show and so on, but Virtual Self’s second appearance has just been announced.
It might not be second in the chronological sense, as no other tour dates have been released, if any ever will be, but BUKU Music & Art Project just dropped its phase 2 lineup with Virtual Self front and center on second line, confirming a co-headlining status.
It’s apparent that the festival has enough faith in the new project to give it such high billing, despite relatively lesser name recognition.
