Martin Garrix is set to drop “So Far Away” with David Guetta on Friday, but fans have been curious about the identity of the vocalists, now that we know Ellie Goulding is no longer on the record. In a teaser posted to Facebook this morning, it was revealed that the featured artists are Jamie Scott (who has worked with many artists including One Direction, Rag’n’Bone Man, Crystal Fighters, Jessie Ware, Birdy and more) & a more unknown vocalist named Romy Dya, who possibly sang on the demo version of the track.
The preview features Dya & Scott’s vocals in harmony with a portion of the drop, which is quite similar to Garrix’s “Scared To Be Lonely,” featuring that higher pitched vocal loop and pop/future progression. Compared to the vocal section, the drop sounds rather disappointing, but we’ll wait for the full track to come out before passing judgment.
Check out the preview below.
