Claude VonStroke proves to be one of the busiest bodies in the electronic dance music industry. From debuting his trip-hop musical direction under his real name Barclay Crenshaw to continuing to use his primary entertainment alias to release new records and remixes and headline shows such as Dirtybird Campout West back in early October. Since the announcement of the first phase of artists for next year’s Dirtybird Campout East, it now seems appropriate that the Head Camp Counselor’s full set from his Campout West show has been made readily available for everyone’s listening pleasure.
The mix is a special blend of filthy house music opening with a handful of unreleased tunes. The footage of the livestream shows a blissfully content Claude VonStroke bouncing around and with a jolly smile as he drops song after song to a shuffling-bustling audience. As they held up their totems under the field of lasers, VonStroke played a myriad of infectious house music including the Billy Kenny remix of Claude’s track “Barrump,” the massive Walker & Royce track “Rub Anotha Dub” with Green Velvet, and the CamelPhat remix of “Please Don’t Play” by James Curd & Diz. While wearing a fuzzy Davey Crockett hat, Claude VonStroke delivered another immaculate, four-to-the-floor set that brought house music from Dirtybird and other house-rich labels to the forefront. In other words, this is a preview of what fans can expect to see at the debut year of Dirtybird Campout East landing in St. Cloud, Florida in early February.
