3LAU first announced this past February that his debut album would be due out this past summer (that tweet has since been deleted). However, as I’m sure you’re aware, this summer came and went and a 3LAU album didn’t come with it.
Good news, though, as 3LAU has officially announced that his debut album Ultraviolet will be coming out February 2018. He says that it will contain music like in the video below, which can’t really be put into any specific genre – and honestly, we’re all for it. Sure, saying that something is categorically “dubstep” or “house” makes our jobs easier, but there’s no reason that good music has to subscribe to a specific sound.
