Police Seek Help From Public to Find “Snapchat” Pill Suppliers Targeting Young Users

Police in the UK are working with the public to identify those supplying the so-called “Snapchat” drug after a couple of related hospitalizations. The pills under investigation are often brightly colored and feature ghost logo associated with Snapchat, according to a source.

Two 14-year-old girls from West Cumbria recently winded up in the hospital in separate incidents, after taking the drug believed to be ecstasy/MDMA, according to a new report. Officers warn those same illegal drugs could be fatal.

Parents from across the country have revealed many cases in which children as young as 12 have been buying the accessible £5 pills. Not only are police pursuing the suppliers, they ask parents and other members of the public to “shop” those selling the drug and come forward with information.

Those with any information can submit anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

NOTE: Appearance of the pills may vary.
