Gammer’s “THE DROP” Finally Lands on Monstercat

One of 2017’s most anticipated IDs – “THE DROP” by Gammer – is finally here in its full glory.

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, there’s still a good chance you’ve heard “THE DROP” played live if you’ve seen any of 2017’s reigning bass music DJs. The track is probably best recognized as the intro to many of DJ Snake’s sets (including his performance at Coachella), but Snails, Kayzo, Slander, Party Favor and NGHTMRE – among many others – have been playing it throughout 2017 as well.

Gammer has had some gems in 2017, but “THE DROP” is on another level. The UK producer uniquely contrasts light, melodic tones with thunderous drops and bone-rattling bass lines, making for one of the most energy-packed (if still slightly strange) brostep songs of the year.

Thankfully, the madness doesn’t end just there. “THE DROP” is the title track on Gammer’s new EP, which is out now via Monstercat. The EP comes with a quadruple dose of bass music in a variety of different styles, all maintaining different levels of energy and emotion. The tracklist includes the previously released songs “Stay Tonight” and “Let’s Get Crunk,” as well as the brand new track “Beam of Light.”
