Zedd has blessed us with an official upload of his “Stay” performance with Alessia Cara from the 2017 American Music Awards!
In this special performance, Zedd traded in his DJ equipment for a grand piano, transforming the mega pop hit into a ballad fit for the occasion. With the help of a mini ensemble and Alessia Cara’s vocal stylings, “Stay” became one of the most talked about performances of the night.
The classically trained producer has discussed the future of his live sets, and his plans to transition from a DJ into an “unplugged” performer. It seems as though he’s already taking some drastic steps toward evolving his shows, as seen below.
Zedd told Forbes in a recent interview:
“I think I will one day go unplugged or change my show somehow. Or my show form, I’ll say that. Currently I am still DJing, yet I think I have a way more dramatic show, and a much for dynamic show than I’ve ever had, that involves a lot of planning.”
