As a lot of hardcore fans of anything know, Reddit is usually one of the best places on the internet for in-depth discussion. And when it comes to anything EDM related, /r/edm is the place to be. In the past, they’ve come up with their own version of the DJ Mag Top 100, weekly threads for new music every Friday so you know exactly what to look for plus more.
A few weeks back, the forum took upon the ambitious task of coming up with the Top 100 songs in EDM history, or ‘Top 100 Classics’ so to speak. Now, the people have spoken, the results are in and you can stream them all in one nifty Spotify playlist arranged from slowest BPM to fastest. In case you were wondering, here’s some quick facts about the picks.
The top 3 most voted songs in order are: “Levels,” “Animals,” and “Strobe.”
Tiësto led the way with 10 placements in “Adagio For Strings,” “Elements Of Life,” “Lethal Industry,” “Red Lights,” “Suburban Train.” “Zero 76” with Hardwell, “Power” with KSHMR,” “Right Song” with Oliver Heldens and finally his edit of “Silence” by Delerium.
Following that, Alesso and Skrillex satched up five placements with Armin van Buuren, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, and Swedish House Mafia following close behind with four apiece.
