Bruno Mars has officially been awarded one of the highest honors at this year’s American Music Awards — the country’s biggest fan-voted awards show! Fellow nominees included: The Chainsmokers, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Ed Sheeran.
Artist of the Year went to Bruno Mars, who unfortunately couldn’t attend the AMAs in person, but was able to share an acceptance video as seen below. The singer released one of the biggest records of the year with “That’s What I Like,” and continues to wow fans with his funky fresh musical style.
For the 2017 AMAs, icons went head-to-head with newcomers and record breakers, to reveal the top picks in pop, rock, EDM, hip hop, and more. Congrats to The Chainsmokers, Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, DJ Khaled, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee and many more artists that celebrated wins tonight!
