Electronic Music Icon Björk Delivers Eclectic Cover Mix for MixMag [LISTEN]

To celebrate Björk‘s December cover for Mixmag, she has recorded an exclusive studio mix. Although, it’s much more than just that — it’s a 47-minute journey through the depths of the producer’s matchless and exciting musical taste.

Björk is a name on top of the world’s leading music events, and she’s here to show us exactly why. The exclusive studio mix dances around the global styles of many artists not commonly heard in electronic music, as seemingly clashing soundscapes effortlessly collide for a refreshing take on the genre.

For this cover mix, Björk goes all out, mashing up her selects in ways your ears simply have to hear to believe. There’s nothing quite like this exquisite work of art, which serves as a preface to her ninth studio album Utopia coming this month.

Björk’s Mixmag cover mix is insanely unique, beautifully mixed, and undisputedly one of the most inventive pieces of work we’ve heard this year.

Here is a little set for you. It is most definitely flute and air themed and perhaps reveals the sonic environment my ears were in last year. I thank all the musicians. Kindness, Björk.
