Kesha Covers Marshmello & Khalid’s “Silence” to Perfection [MUST WATCH]

The queen of glitter and rainbows — Kesha — has transformed Marshmello and Khalid‘s “Silence” into her own in the latest BBC 1 Radio Live Lounge session!

Kesha’s style shines through this emotional and stripped down, yet electrifying version of the ballad. As she delivers the song’s first impactful lyrics to perfection, it’s clear this track was destined for a Kesha cover.

Yeah, I’d rather be a lover than a fighter
‘Cause all my life, I’ve been fighting
Never felt a feeling of comfort
All this time, I’ve been hiding

Those who haven’t heard the EDM version might even be inclined to believe this touching song is one off her own studio album Rainbow, because it sounds so right. Kesha’s first studio album in five years boasts her must-hear single “Praying” — which can certainly move mountains.

We’re happy to hear Kesha is a Marshmello fan, and hope she finds time to collaborate with someone in the electronic realm sooner than later!
