Tchami x Malaa Take Us To Deep House Church With Collaborative Track “The Sermon”

Separately Tchami x Malaa make up two of the leading acts in electronic music, and together they become an unstoppable force in the future house movement!

The newly released track “The Sermon,” off their forthcoming collaborative No Redemption EP, is a prime blend of each producer’s distinct styles. Deep dark house, offered by the masked man Malaa meets a lighter, traditional vibe put forth by Tchami. The result feels something like an uplifting sermon without having to step foot in a church, making the title of the track no coincidence.

The guys subtly sample “It’s Bigger Than Hip-Hop” by Dead Prez for some added flavor. “The Sermon” is definitely bigger than hip hop — it’s bigger than house music, too. It’s about a feeling deep in your soul, and that’s exactly what makes Tchami x Malaa’s collaborations so special.

Of the No Redemption collaboration, Tchami says,We each have our own specific sound. Malaas music embraces the early street vibe of house music from its origin in the streets of Chicago and Detroit. My sound portrays another side of the genre: positive, spiritual. This project combines the two elements and messages to represent house music as a whole while creating something new. The best of both worlds.

“The Sermon” just scratches the surface of what we’re about to hear from Tchami x Malaa as they set to embark on a tour together. Be sure to check out “Summer 99” and see all the No Redemption Tour dates below.
