While Marshmello may have just released a new song with Selena Gomez, we’re still stuck on his last original with Khalid, “Silence.” Between the production and the vocals, it hits the sweet spot of EDM/pop a little more evenly than “Wolves.” It’s also his most streamed song on Spotify with over twice the plays of “Alone” – which is now Monstercat’s first platinum record.
But in the case that you were looking for something that leaned a little heavier on the EDM side, Lost Kings has you covered. The fast-rising duo have had some high-profile releases lately, and adding to that is their remix of Marshmello’s “Silence.”
Their take on the track includes some pitched down vocal chops along with Khalid’s original vocals and a faster tempo that more dancey and less head-bobby. I’m aware those aren’t quite technical terms, but you get the idea.
