It seems like every bass producer is putting out the debut albums lately, with Snails and KRANE just two of the few, along with Troyboi, Panda Eyes, Dubloadz and others (and Ghastly has announced his). And though we likely won’t see it in 2017, Kayzo has just announced his debut album, as well.
There’s no doubt that Kayzo has been on a massive tear this year, drawing in huge crowds and developing quite a partnership with major DJs like DJ Snake, as well as bringing back the Doghouse Tour to Los Angeles for his biggest show to date. However, with bass producers, I’m always wary about albums… they’re much harder to curate and develop than in some other genres. That being said, with the success we’ve seen from Troyboi, Snails, KRANE, and Dubloadz, we’re sure Kayzo has some tricks up his sleeve.

Included in those tricks is a bevy of old friends with whom he’s grown and developed in Los Angeles, not least of all Jauz. Jauz and Kayzo are undeniably two of the heaviest hitters in electronic music — so it’s only a matter of time before they completely change the game forever with an epic collaboration!
While it sounds like something out of every bass lover’s wildest dreams, the producers have reassured us this is a thing that is actually happening in real life. All this collaboration talk started when Jauz shared a photo of the two hanging out backstage, looking like “SPOOK-E boiz”…

Twitter user @shantstaaah only blurted out what came to all of our minds at that very moment…
Make a song make a song make a song make a song make a song ❤️ https://t.co/MtN9MQzAAb

Then, just like clockwork, Jauz posed the question we all wanted to hear…
Should we @KayzoMusic ?? 🤔🤔 https://t.co/FR7zrIgYpT

And Kayzo sealed the deal!

You can say that again. Ok, we’ll say it — It’s about time.
Kayzo recently shared the following of their friendship:
So JAUZ and I met in a small little studio like 5 years ago in Glendale California when I was first learning how to make music. To this day we have stayed close friends and have pushed each other along with all our other friends to break the mold of dance music. This was in Paris for lollapalooza. Still blows my mind I get to travel the world with my best friends and play music for you all.
