Many of the producers you know and love today had aliases before they became famous, some you’ll probably never hear of. Sam Eley AKA Sad Meal experienced the same kinds of trials and tribulations as the top producers before finally winning Cymatics‘ Academy.fm contest with his remix below.
At 25 years old, Sad Meal is still finding himself as an artist, and in fact, a change in circumstances caused a change in perspective which led to the conception of Sad Meal. The project is still in its infancy, giving Eley infinite possibilities for where to take it. His own style takes influences from everyone from Flux Pavilion to Getter to Hans Zimmer, and his melodic and intricate production is evidence of that.
