Though KSHMR is an American by birth, he’s known for weaving his Indian heritage into his tracks and brand, something that no other producer who’s broken through has been able to accomplish before. On his newest track “Underwater,” he has teamed up with Sonu Nigam, who has been called The Elvis Presley of India, so… he’s pretty big.
The song is an anthemic and orchestral masterpiece when Nigam and KSHMR’s talents are combined. It moves away from KSHMR’s borderline big room aesthetic and veers closer to genuine progressive house, and it just sounds so, so good. The melody in the drop is almost enough to make you cry, and Nigam’s voice is positively angelic.
This will no doubt go down as one of KSHMR’s best records to date. Listen below.
