Scratch Massive is a name I’ve not heard of before, but if you’re a fan of Purity Ring or Empire of the Sun, you’re in luck.
With their new single “Sunken,” Scratch Massive embodies that melodic ethereal sound popularized by so many artists before them. It’s effortless in its execution, letting the vocals ride on the production and the production carrying the vocals.
This dark and glittering song is accompanied by a music video directed by half of the duo, Sebastien Chenut, starring Roxanne Mesquida (Quentin Dupieux, Gregg Araki..) & Japanese, actor & DJ Eiko Hara.
Scratch Massive’s new LP Sunken City is due out March 2018.
