Every year, dozens of tiny festivals pop up and go away, as if by some magic wand. Some entrepreneurial go-getter will get the idea that a festival is within their grasp… but they’ll come up short. Others have a bit more experience and are less green behind the ears, and have a moderately successful festival (read: they break even), and don’t come back again. Others still will have a unique vision, the resources to make it happen, and more importantly, the determination to see it through to the end and beyond.
Asteria Arts & Music Festival falls into that final category.
This little boutique festival in Florida popped up last year, headlined by Joker and Sullivan King, with a vision – be the best it could be. The minutiae of the festival aren’t as important as the lasting effect it had on its attendees, the majority of whom sang high praises for the festival and are excited to return this coming year.
Asteria just dropped their phase one lineup, and it’s looking like another fantastic year, featuring headliner and dubstep legend Emalkay, along with Mark The Beast, and the Florida debuts of Chime and Pixel Terror. Phase two will drop a Never Say Die artist and a Monstercat live act… we’ll see who those turn out to be.
The festival grounds this year look absolutely stunning, though still unfurnished. Lush green grass, sprawling foliage and plenty of area to wander and discover make this a definite must-visit festival, if for the venue alone. And lucky for everyone, the organizer has told us that pre-made camping packs will be provided, so you can leave all your gear at home – amazing for travelers.
Asteria’s second year will commence next April 20-21 in Groveland, FL. Tickets are available now here.

Maybe they should pay their vendors, then they most likely would not be back in 2018. They owe thousands.
