Samsung is making bank off the new iPhone X!
According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, for every device Apple sells, Samsung’s components division makes $110, potentially for a total of up to $4 billion. Don’t get it twisted with Samsung Electronics, which makes the Galaxy smartphones and works as a direct competitor with Apple. However, Samsung’s corporate entity is indeed reaping the benefits of the hottest smartphone on the market.
As it stands, Samsung is the only company that makes the OLED displays, NAND flash, and DRAM chip — all of which are needed in mass quantities to make Apples iPhones.
According to WSJ, the South Korean tech giant will make billions off those parts, which attribute to around 35 percent of Samsung’s revenue. And down the line, it goes back into creating cutting-edge technology like the Galaxy devices.
This is some crazy smartphone circle of life stuff!
