Police have issued a public warning on Mastercard-shaped ecstasy pills after people have fallen ill from taking the drug. Three people, two men and a woman, were treated at Royal Preston Hospital in Lancashire in the UK after taking the pills, according to police.
Detective Inspector Roger Ashcroft of Preston CID said: “I would urge anyone to refrain from taking these tablets – you don’t know what you’re taking and the risk you are putting on your health could be devastating.
“Fortunately it appears that none of the individuals involved were seriously affected by this incident and I want to reassure the public that we are trying to identify the source of the tablets.” 
A 20-year-old man from Darwen and a 19-year-old woman for Crewe have been arrested on suspicion of supplying the controlled drug.
