Flux Pavilion’s “Bass Cannon” is a dubstep classic like “Children” by Robert Miles is for trance. It’s such a powerful and long-lasting tune, and yet in spite of it being released six years ago, we’ve seen three new remixes for it this year, including this house flip by Matroda.
For sure, if you like the original but were craving a more four-on-the-floor interpretation, this is definitely your top choice. The synths are still pretty filthy without the elongated bass notes of a dubstep original, but the energy is still way up there.
