22-year-old Post Malone is breaking records with his newest song “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage!

The track just racked up the most worldwide single week streams ever on Apple Music, dethroning DJ Khaled‘s “I’m the One” in the process. Post Malone reached 25 million plays in just one week — only adding to his musical achievements which include four platinum singles and over 1 billion streams from his debut album Stoney.

Furthermore, Apple Music managed to grab 56 percent of first week streams for “Rockstar” in the United States. This is a huge accomplishment considering Apple Music is only 27 million subscribers deep, compared to Spotify‘s reported 160 million subscribers.

As revealed by Apple Music’s head of artist curation, Carl Chery, the music giant has groomed a close relationship with the artist:

“We just have a long history of supporting Post Malone, even before he got signed. ‘White Iverson’ was being heavily supported in iTunes — that song is old enough that Apple Music wasn’t even live yet. We were supporting him heavily back then, and we did the same thing with the Stoney project last year. The process is pretty simple for us, if we like it, we support it.”

Post Malone’s “Rockstar” was heavily promoted by Apple Music upon its release, as it appeared on three popular hip hop playlists: The A-List, It’s Lit, and #OnRepeat. The music streaming service plans to keep the streak going with the new album Beerbongs & Bentleys expected from Post Malone later this year.

“Rockstar” also debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100, as announced this week.
