Yesterday was a big day for Illenium — not only did he shatter expectations with his newly released sophomore album Awake (listen here) — but, he also earned one of the first-ever Electronic Music Awards.
The EMAs’ “Remix of the Year” category boasted remixes from Medasin, Sasha, DJ Koze, NOTD, and Major Lazer, but the Flume – “Say It” Illenium remix took the prize. The producer also performed his incredible new single “Crawl Outta Love” and more live during the awards ceremony.
The EMAs were broadcast live via Twitter from Los Angeles, CA last night, under the designated hashtag #EMAwards. Producers, DJs, and industry professionals joined together to celebrate the genre with the very first awards show exclusively for electronic music.
