Other than at Form Arcosanti, it’s hard to think of a place that Skrillex can play music with as much freedom and carefree abandon as Burning Man. The annual event out in the Nevada desert sports one of the most diverse festival-like lineups of the year at Camp Questionmark, including regular appearances from world class DJs and some of the most random B2Bs you’ll ever witness.
This year, Skrillex took his set solo for Burning Man, along with a special VJ set from visual artist Infinight, from Melt Creative. David Kupferberg, who uploaded the video on YouTube, also provided a tracklist with the video which features an extremely diverse selection of music, from XXXtentacion, to KISS, Avicii, and plenty of the dubstep and hard bass music that we love.
One track in particular, the opening track, is listed as an unreleased Joyryde and Skrillex collaboration. The two have been in the same musical circles for a while now, so a collaboration like this is definitely possible, especially after Skrillex took influence from Joyryde for “Purple Lamborghini.” But for the moment, it’s up to speculation whether the collaboration is genuine. But if it is, and we think there’s a good chance, it sounds really, really dope.
