If MYRNE isn’t on your radar yet, well… he’s about to be. Less than five months after his Monstercat debut, the Singaporean up-and-comer is getting ready to embark on a month-long headlining tour. Playfully titled “Fresh Off the Boat,” the tour will hit 12 major cities worldwide, beginning in Jakarta, Indonesia and concluding in Vancouver, BC (coincidentally Monstercat’s home town). Speaking of new music, MYRNE has finally released what might be his most impactful song yet, “Confessions.” The song is an absolutely explosive work of contemporary R&B, accented by its booming brass lines and unique chord progressions. Written in a similar style to Unlike Pluto‘s “Everything Black,” we can see this one becoming a huge hit in the EDM community.
The track also features Cozi Zuehlsdorff, marking the famed actress/vocalist’s fourth appearance on Monstercat. For a 19-year-old, Zuehlsdorff’s mature vocal approach is – to say the least – surprising, continuously making a mark on listeners no matter what production she’s featured on. In this case, she pairs especially well with the instrumental, arguably better than ever before.
