The most epic surprise set probably ever just happened at a quaint little pub outside of Chicago over the weekend, and nobody was ready for it…
Imagine this: hanging out at a local bar after an Ed Sheeran show and having not only the headliner but Skrillex himself show up at the party. Well, that’s exactly what happened for those at Five Roses Pub in Rosemont Friday night following the pop star’s concert at Allstate Arena.
Apparently, the two crashed DJ Alex Peace’s set at the bar, and he willingly allowed the two superstars to take the spotlight. Not only did Skrillex end up clocking an hour and a half set, but Ed joined him as a hype man.
“Skrillex asked me if he could jump on the decks. Ed Sheeran said to me, ‘I didn’t think he was gonna do it.’ This is what happened at the end of his 90 minute DJ set,” Alex Peace shared along with a 2 minute video of the epic finale.
He expanded in an Instagram post, “It was completely random and amazing to see these mad cool super stars enjoying themselves at a suburban bar and entertaining the crowd. I still can’t believe it happened.”
Hands down, this looks like the best afterparty of all time… And, word on the street, there was only a $5 cover.
