Spinnin’ Records, one of the most prevalent labels in dance music, has officially been acquired by Warner Music Group (WMG) in a $100+ million dollar deal!
It’s huge news for the entire industry, and especially the label itself, the talented artists that work closely with it, the 1.59 million followers on SoundCloud and the over 18 million subscribers Spinnin’s YouTube channel boasts.
According to Music Business Worldwide many huge music companies like Sony Music and Believe Digital have been vying the Dutch record label, but Warner’s price was right.
Spinnin’ — “the world’s leading record label” — has worked with the likes of Martin Solveig, Armand van Helden, Fedde le Grand, Tiesto, and Martin Garrix over the years. Fox Stevenson, Blasterjaxx, Alok, KSHMR and so many more have also recently put out their work through the revolutionary dance imprint.
As for WMG, the music company is sitting pretty with the rights to a variety of sub-labels and has worked with the likes of David Guetta, Knife Party, Skrillex and many other staple acts in EDM.
