DJs just getting started are familiar with playing an approved timeslot, only to have a club owner’s nephew or some bigger DJ or someone else entirely swoop in and take over the set. It’s not fun, but it’s a reality of the job at times. What is a bit more rare is when it happens to a Top 10 DJ… which is exactly what happened to Oliver Heldens. Of course, the ones who kicked him off were a #1 NBA team, so perhaps it balances out.
Here’s what went down:
Twitter user @JaeAzizi shared a video of the Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson getting down to Oliver Heldens & Tiesto’s “Wombass” in a club.

Someone must have tagged Heldens in the responses, because he came in with a brilliant story.
.@KlayThompson goin nuts on my music means a lot to me!His teammates kicked me off stage at a Vegas poolparty,so they could play mumble rap
