In the words of Anton Ego from Ratatouille, “Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist can come from anywhere.” I’ve used this quote before to describe another artist, Le Malls, but it bears repeating in this case.
There are many things to say about young Astrojaxx. He’s played the piano since age 3 and is classically trained. He is one of the youngest certified professional DJ’s in the world. He graduated from the Scratch DJ Academy, the world leader in DJ education and training, just after his 13th birthday. He started composing and producing music at age 13 and will release his first tracks this year, at age 14. He was just accepted under-age to attend Berklee College of Music this summer to study both keyboards and music production… at 14.
With a resume like that backing you up, you can already just assume that his music will be good. But you know what they say about assuming…
Thankfully, the assumptions are correct.
With an Oliver Heldens-esque flair, Astrojaxx presents his first track, “Back To You.” Future house is still living strong with producers, especially when they’re starting at such a young age. Wonderfully mastered with rich sounds, albeit lacking a little originality, “Back To You” is a thunderous debut for an artist for whom we have huge expectations.
