When I think ‘bass acts on a tear’ one of the first guys that come to mind are Brasstracks. They’ve been on a roll this year with their inventive covers of hip-hop favorites “XO Tour Llif3” and “All Of The Lights.” Their newest single “Favorite” is yet another example of the production finesse we’ve come to expect from the GRAMMY winners.
“Favorite” starts off perfectly sultry with funky production and a slick R&B aesthetic before vocalist duo Vanjess hit us with their stellar and soulful vocals. This is definitely a new change in direction for the guys which makes sense, given the particular set of vocals that VanJess work with, and I can’t wait to see what else comes after!
