The information we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: Avicii will release a full, new EP next Thursday, August 10. The EP will be titled Avīci. And while you might take this as a play on Avicii’s name, don’t be so quick to judge.
In Buddhism, “Avīci” is also is the lowest level of the “hell” realm, into which the dead who have committed grave misdeeds may be reborn.
It’s a strange take on Avicii’s absence, comparing himself to being in hell, but it’s not all that untrue. Avicii’s physical ability limited himself from touring and he made the tough decision to stop touring altogether as a result – more than that, it’s been a while since anyone has heard new Avicii music. For an artist as prolific as Avicii, that must be some type of hell, to be certain. 
Fans have already heard previews of two songs, “Lonely Together” and “Without You.” Still to come are “Friend Of Mine,” “What Would I Change It To,” and “You Be Love.”
