One of Drake’s most memorable chord progressions comes from “Gyalchester” on his More Life album. The slow, harmonized piano notes are hopeful and infinitely sad at the same time, truly a beautiful composition. Even still, Levianth was able to take those chords and amplify them to another level.
I’m not the biggest Drake fan in the world, but after listening to this and the original back to back, I’d be willing to say this is the better version. It has all the elements of the original that made it great, with more sophisticated instrumentation.
