Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington’s Death Officially Ruled Suicide By Hanging

If reality hasn’t already sunk in, the devastating news of Chester Bennington‘s suicide has been “officially” confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner.

The Linkin Park frontman’s death has been ruled a suicide by hanging and the case is considered closed. No toxicology report has been carried out as of yet.

The singer passed away at age 41 at his home in Los Angeles on 7-20-17, which would have also been close friend and Soundgarden/Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell‘s 53rd birthday. He also committed suicide by hanging after a show in Detroit back in May.

In the wake of the tragedy, Linkin Park has canceled their North American tour and changed the band’s logo to represent the void Bennington has left behind.
