Bennington was part of the nu-metal group Linkin Park and created a set of iconic songs including “Numb,” “Somewhere I Belong” and “Crawling.” His voice was remarkably unique and his impact on music as a whole reaches far and wide.
The group recently released a new album and are currently on tour, and had a forthcoming collaboration with Martin Garrix.
Bennington was reportedly close with Chris Cornell, who also committed suicide earlier this year. Also, today would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives. He was 41.
