Tomorrowland Ticket Buyers Denied Entry Following Screening Call For Investigation

38 ticket buyers for this year’s Tomorrowland were denied entry after a screening process conducted by the Belgian federal police. Now, those 38 have lodged formal complaints with the Belgian Privacy Commission who have been tasked with looking into the matter.

Though Tomorrowland is not being directly investigated in this matter, the Privacy Commission is looking into the method of screening used by the Belgian police to determine whether any rights were violated.

The general terms and conditions of Tomorrowland state that “all visitors to the festival declare to have been informed of the fact that the Organiser collects data for security reasons.”

According to Billboard, this is not the first year that Tomorrowland has had attendees screened, nor is it the first year that ticket buyers have been denied from the festival.

Belgian police were reportedly given permission for the screenings by the mayors of towns Boom and Rumst, where Tomorrowland is held annually.
