Tomorrowland Has Screened All Ticket Buyers, Rejects 38 Based on Screening

Security at music festivals has become more of a hot button topic than ever before with several high profile terrorist attacks taking place at music venues in recent memory. Between the attack on the Bataclan and the attack in Manchester, along with apparent threats from ISIS on the Las Vegas Strip, safety is of paramount importance.

Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium has taken it a step further by screening each and every one of its 400,000 ticket buyers, at the permission of cities Boom and Rumst. The particular process of vetting was not disclosed, likely so as to prevent anyone from concocting ways to circumvent it, but 38 individuals were picked out and refused access to the festival.

The town of Boom has also installed concrete blocks in an attempt to prevent truck attacks.

The full story is available via DS Nieuws, though you’ll have to use Google translate or some comparable service.
