PSY’s “Gangnam Style” Dethroned by Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” for Most Viewed YouTube Video Ever

Wiz Khalifa‘s “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth is leaving every other music video in the dust, breaking the record for the most-viewed video of all time on YouTube!

At approximately 5:30 p.m. (EST) on Monday, Wiz’s monster hit song jumped to 2,894,026,649 views, surpassing the 2,894,022,885 views for “Gangnam Style,” the 2012 viral sensation by South Korean singer PSY. While the dance-infused “Gangnam Style” clung to the title for five long years, we can’t say we’re sorry to see it go. Speaking of which, Justin Bieber‘s “Sorry” still sits at the number 3 spot for his 2015 track.

“See You Again,” a tribute to the late Paul Walker of the Fast & Furious franchise, also topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 straight weeks, becoming an instant classic of our generation.

“It’s the biggest song that I’ve ever had in my career,” Khalifa told his hometown publication, the Pittsburg Post-Gazette, upon the single’s release. “Every artist wishes for that, that reaction, that when the song comes on, everybody feels it. I’m blessed to have that kind of song and that kind of feeling happen. It’s just really good to keep people happy.”

We bet Wiz is out getting high somewhere to celebrate! Congrats to everyone involved on this amazing track!
