OWSLA has just released a fierce new single from one of house music’s established champions. The last time we heard AC Slater releasing on the Skrillex record label, he had released the three-track Bass Inside EP. Since then he has continued to release new original content on his own imprint Night Bass that includes collaborations with Taiki Nulight and Shift K3Y. Today, however, AC Slater delivers a terrific banger bringing on EDM’s spiritual leader Tchami with Atlanta hip-hop native Rome Fortune.
This song “Dealer” marks the first time Rome Fortune has released music with these producers even. However, AC Slater worked on “Missing You” with Kaleem Taylor for Tchami’s After Life EP at the end of 2015. Now the two return together on a single that trades the soulful singing and romantic lyrics of Kaleem Taylor for the visceral wailing and depressing words of Rome Fortune. This song’s bass line is subdued as it creeps and pounces between the beats. “Dealer” is a song with such an evil groove that it deserves to be heard anytime in the evening where it lurks and jives in the dark where it belongs.
The new collaboration “Dealer” is also the lead single for AC Slater’s forthcoming album Outsiders. It is slated for release sometime in the fall.
Along with the new single, OWSLA has a new music video for “Dealer” with trippy visuals, gltichy camerawork, and nifty dance routines. Check out the song and it’s music video here.
