Just think what it would be like to get your hands on a piece of Daft Punk‘s legacy… Well, now you can if the price is right!
The same piece of equipment that Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk used to create “Revolution 909” from the their 1997 debut album Homework is on now on sale to the highest bidder, complete with original presets. The rich, quality sounds from the instrument can be heard at play in the music video below.
The original Roland TR-909, roughly valued at £1,500 is easily worth the current leading bid of £10,000 given the condition, iconic presets, and let’s not forget the power it must behold having once belonged to the famous electronic duo! Transformative to say the least — the part-analog, part sample-based Roland TR-909 was one of the first drum machines to implement MIDI capabilities, a next level music production tool.
While it’s “impossible” to put a price on such an iconic piece of music equipment, Vintage & Analogue Occasion has the rhythm composer collector’s item up for grabs to any lucky fan with a pretty penny to spare.
Congrats in advance to the person who wins this amazing device!
